After low temperatures throughout the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the city of Sobradinho, 235 km from Porto Alegre, woke up with heavy frosts this Saturday (29). The Region recorded temperatures below 0°.
Maria Clara Sassaki, spokesperson for Tempo OK, in an interview with CNN this Saturday (29) explained that the low temperatures are the result of the polar air mass from Argentina entering Brazil.
Sassaki explains that the cold is expected to advance towards the south of the state of Mato Grosso with more significant occasional frosts and that there are ample chances of frost that could be of up to strong intensity in Rio Grande do Sul and Paraná.
Rio Grande do Sul should still have rain in the north of the state and in Santa Catarina there is a forecast of increased cloudiness.
According to Climatempo, the forecast is that in the coming days temperatures will remain low throughout the state with a minimum of 6° and maximum of 9° this Sunday (30)
