THE Rio de Janeiro was voted one of the best tourist destinations in the world to visit in 2022, according to “Gold List” published by the specialized vehicle Condé Nast Traveler this December. The annual list – which selects the best in international tourism – is chosen by editors on three continents and, this year, covers nine destinations around the world.
“There are few places in the world that you know you couldn’t be anywhere else, and whenever I hear applause on Arpoador beach with the summer sunset, I’m reminded that Rio is one of them,” says Megan Spurrell, who Live in Nova York and is senior editor of the publication.
