RIS: The subsidy for electricity bills remains at 39 euros / month

By Harry Floudopoulos

The subsidy for electricity bills will remain constant at 39 euros / month in March, as the competent Minister of Environment and Energy K. Skrekas informed yesterday in a letter to the suppliers. Along with another letter to the gas suppliers, Mr. Srkekas informs that the gas subsidy will remain for this month at 20 euros / Mwh.

In terms of electricity, the subsidy will apply to the main homes of household consumers who are contracted on floating supply tariffs. For these consumers the subsidy is set for the first 155 kilowatt hours at 150 euros per megawatt hour and for consumption from 156 to 310 kilowatt hours at 110 euros per megawatt hour.

The total subsidy reaches 39 euros / month.

For the beneficiaries of the CTO (Social Housing Invoice) the subsidy is 170 euros per megawatt hour for the first 310 kilowatt hours of the month while the criterion of the first residence for the credit of the subsidy does not apply to this category of customers.

For the beneficiaries of the solidarity services tariff, the subsidy is set at 170 euros per megawatt hour and is applied regardless of the consumption limit.

For non-household tariffs the subsidy remains at the amount of 65 euros per megawatt hour for the entire monthly consumption.

Natural gas

Finally, with regard to natural gas, the subsidy amounts to 20 euros per megawatt hour of heat, both for domestic consumers and for non-domestic consumers.

According to the letter of Mr. Skrekas, the measures will be re-evaluated every month and the unit price of the subsidy will be adjusted accordingly.
