Risky man known for stunts on tall buildings dies after falling from 68th floor

A Frenchman, known for extreme sports, is dead after falling from the 68th floor of a building in Hong Kong. Remi Lucidi, 30, was climbing the Tregunter Tower complex when he fell, according to the South China Morning Post.

Lucidi, known online as Remi Enigma, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Hong Kong officials, Lucidi arrived at the building around 6 p.m. and told the security guard that he was visiting a friend on the 40th floor.

A security guard tried to arrest Lucidi after the alleged friend confirmed he was not acquainted with Lucidi – but by then the stuntman had already told an elevator.

Lucidi was later seen on security cameras reaching the 49th floor and then taking and climbing the stairs to the top of the building.

According to those chasing Lucidi, they found the hatch leading to the roof open, but he was nowhere to be seen.

Police said the man was last seen alive at 7:38 p.m., when he knocked on the penthouse window of the complex, prompting a maid to call police.

The source – who has not been identified – said police believe Lucidi was trapped outside the penthouse and was banging on the window for help before the crash.

A source revealed that police found Lucidi’s camera at the scene of the crash and it contained footage of his other death-defying acts.

Police have not yet released an official cause of death.

According to Gurjit Kaur, owner of the hostel where Lucidi was allegedly staying, the guest was a “friendly and humble guy”. “He was healthy and fit and with a happy face,” Kaur told the news agency. “I feel very sad.”
