To complement the launch of the plot, the West Zone school of the state capital spread giant glasses in the same format eternalized by the singer of São Paulo by important points of the city center, such as the Arcos da Lapa, the Museum of Tomorrow and Largo da Carioca.

The plot “Rita Lee, the patron saint of freedom” will be developed by Carnival Renato Lage, who returned to the 2025 Carnival. “Rita Lee represents a cry of musical, aesthetic and behavioral independence,” the artist told the news.

Rita Lee joins the constellation of people who will be honored with a plot at the 2026 Carnival, such as her friend Ney Matogrosso (Empress Leopoldinense), Rosa Magalhães (Academics of Salgueiro) and Mestre Ciça (Unidos do Viradouro).

In search of the seventh title of Rio de Janeiro, the Independent Youth will be the first school to cross the Marquis of Sapucaí on Carnival Monday (February 16). Father Miguel’s Guide Star ended this year’s Calculation in 11th place after presenting a plot about the past and gaining only 267.9 points.
