The musical “Rita Lee – A Musical Autobiography ”, starring the actress from Rio Grande do Sul Mel Lisboa extended the first season to September after selling out in April, but sold all tickets again in just 48 hours.
“Everything sold out again until September, in two days, we’re still in May, it’s unbelievable. I've never seen that. It's Rita! Viva Rita!”, said Mel Lisboa in a video published this Thursday (23) on social media.
Directed by Marcio Macena and Déborah Dubois, the show tells the story of São Paulo singer Rita Lee (1947-2023) from the book “Rita Lee – An Autobiography”, in which the artist spoke openly about her personal and professional life. Editing, script and research are signed by Guilherme Samora
This is the second time that Mel Lisboa will play Rita Lee. In 2014, she played the role in the show “Rita Mora ao Lado”, which was watched by the singer twice.
Rita Lee's widower, Roberto de Carvalho watched some rehearsals of the show, praised the performances and moved the actors to emotion with his presence.
