RJ: 167 tons of electoral propaganda waste are collected; see images

During the 2024 municipal elections, the Municipal Urban Cleaning Company (Comlurb) withdrew 167 tons of electoral propaganda waste in the electoral zones of Rio de Janeiro.

The operation involved 3,621 street cleaners and 294 cleaning agents who took turns ensuring that polling places were clean during and after voting.

The work was supported by 36 compactor trucks and various machines, such as sweepers and water tanks, which helped clean the streets of the capital.

Comlurb also used reused water to wash the public spaces. Routine maintenance in the municipality continued to be carried out normally.

In addition to cleaning, Comlurb also collaborated with the transport and installation of electronic voting machines on Saturday (5) the day before the election, and removed the equipment at the end of voting.

The action was carried out in partnership with the Electoral Court and had the support of technicians and police officers, who supervised the entire process.
