According to the Fogo Cruzado Institute, responsible for disclosing data on armed violence, of the 37 shootings, 12 have been recorded in recent days. Two confrontations took place this morning (12), already ten others occurred only this weekend, between Friday (9) and Sunday (11).
Most records occurred amid disputes between armed groups, with a total number of 12 shootings. Three more are arising from police actions.
The confrontation figures show that one person was killed and three were injured in this year’s analyzed period. In 2019, the data is the same.
Other featured dates are the years 2024 and 2020, with 28 shootings, 6 dead and 2 injured, and 23 shootings, 1 dead and 2 injured respectively.
