Three Germans and a Brazilian are being investigated for being part of a criminal organization suspected of raping a vulnerable person and producing and storing child sexual abuse content committed against teenagers in Cidade de Deus, in Rio de Janeiro. According to the Civil Police, the contents were sold in Europe.
One of the suspects who led the gang, a 60-year-old photographer, was captured last Tuesday (17), in Berlin, by agents from the Bundeskriminalamt, the German Federal Investigation Agency. He was the last person involved in the scheme who had not yet been arrested.
The Civil Police investigation began following an anonymous complaint sent to the Police Station for the Repression of Organized Criminal Actions and Special Inquiries.
In February this year, a search and seizure warrant was executed at the criminal’s address.
At the scene, child sexual abuse materials were found stored on devices. Furthermore, at his residence in Berlin, a HD was seized with the identification “Rio de Janeiro” also containing images of abuse which, according to the police, suggested that the content had been produced in the Brazilian state.
Subsequently, the police investigation and the devices were forwarded to the Child and Adolescent Victims Police Station (DCAV), which continued the investigations.
After analysis, the police found the existence of a criminal association dedicated to the practice of sexual exploitation of children and young people in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, of which the photographer was part.
The investigation also showed that the criminal made contact with other pedophiles in Europe, in addition to promoting “parties” with minors aimed at sexual exploitation, in one of his residences, located in Cidade de Deus.
Two other Germans and a Brazilian, who were part of the criminal organization, participated in the events.
According to the police, the criminals appeared in numerous videos seized by DCAV committing crimes of rape of vulnerable people against different teenagers. According to the police, the Brazilian was also arrested.
So far, the Civil Police have managed to identify 20 victims who appear in the images.
Also according to the corporation, one of those involved in the scheme, called Jan-Juri Reetz, was stabbed to death by his girlfriend, who found out that the man was sexually abusing her daughter. The woman was acquitted by German courts.
