Exclusive images obtained by CNN show the moment in which the young woman who claims to have suffered a gang rape inside the Portal Club nightclub, in Rio de Janeiro, hurriedly leaves the so-called “dark room”, a room reserved for couples in the establishment.
In the video it is also possible to see the boy with whom she allegedly had a consensual relationship passing right after the young woman. The case occurred last Sunday (31) in Lapa, central region of the capital of Rio de Janeiro.

The two separate and the girl goes to look for her friends. Afterwards, there are no images but reports are that the 25-year-old foreigner goes to look for one of the nightclub's security guards and is taken to the management room.
According to an employee's statement to the Civil Police, initially, the South American woman's complaint would be the disappearance of a cell phone. She and her friends claimed that the phone could have been taken by a boy with whom she had had sex in the “dark room”.
In the internal circuit images, it is possible to see that the young man was identified and taken to the management room. At the scene, he talks to the alleged victim and her friends and denies having the girl's cell phone.
At another point, the victim is asked whether or not there was abuse, since she had marks on her body. Very nervous, the girl reports that she consented to sexual intercourse with the boy. However, after this happened, other people would have touched her. See the moment:

In the statement given by the establishment manager to the police, she states that the “dark room” is a dark and small space, about 3 meters, and that there is only one bed in the place. According to the employee, a security guard is outside the curtain that separates the room. He is instructed to intervene only if there is a request for help.
According to the nightclub's lawyer, Daniel Blanck, until then there was no monitoring at the entrance to the “dark room”, but, after the complaint, the equipment was installed.

Other cameras showed the moment in which the young woman, still very nervous, leaves the establishment accompanied by the security guard. According to the defender, they left with the intention of going to the nearest police station to report the cell phone missing. However, the young woman would have given up. The police record was only made last Tuesday (3), at the Women's Assistance Police Station (Deam), which is close to the nightclub.
According to the university student's report, she met a Brazilian who invited her to go to a more private space. In this place, the so-called dark room, the victim reports having been raped without any chance of defense by a number of men that she cannot specify, since, according to her version, she lost consciousness.
It is not yet known whether the young woman was drugged. She was sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) for a criminal examination and was also subjected to toxicological tests.
In a statement, the nightclub stated that it is available to the authorities to clarify the facts and that it repudiates any form of intolerance, oppression and any form of violence against women.
Before the foreign university student reported the alleged gang rape, Deam had already received another victim who claimed to have been abused in the same place. Regarding the previous case, the lawyer states that the nightclub was not informed about the complaint.
A CNN Try contacting the victim's lawyers. The Commission for the Defense of Women's Rights of the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro reported that it will continue to monitor the case.
