Civil Police agents of the 19th DP (Tijuca) arrested, in the act, last Thursday (6), three employees of a telecommunications company who used customer data fraudulently to apply scams.
According to investigations, the gang used fake profiles on luxurious real estate sites using information from high -end victims. In addition to enjoying the properties, criminals simulated locations with each other, to obtain the values ​​of guarantees offered by the site in case of default.
The investigation identified that the suspects would contact the company’s customers – after identifying a victim within the standards – withdrew their data, the photos of the real estate and used it in the scheme. Upon discovering this fact, the Civil Police requested search and seizure warrants at addresses linked to the gang.
At the residence of one of the criminals, dozens of cards were found in the name of third parties and fake identities. One of the suspects demonstrated a standard of living that was not compatible with the reality of an employee of a telecommunications company.
The Civil Police led the three of the police station and acted all through estelionato, use of fake document and criminal association.
Investigations continue to identify others involved, possibly in other states.
