Three people were arrested last Tuesday (21) in Nova Iguaçu (RJ) on suspicion of participating in a scheme to sell stolen medicines. The group was arrested after being stopped on a Military Police patrol.
According to the PM, three men – one from São Paulo and two from Bolivians – were transporting boxes of medicines that had allegedly been purchased in São Paulo. They informed that they had Lapa, in the central region of Rio, as their destination.
The 100 boxes of medicines found with them did not have a receipt or any identification proving that they had been acquired legally.
Along with the group, three cell phones and R$1,593 in cash were seized.
