RJ police arrest in SP accused of negotiating weapons stolen from the army

Two suspects of negotiating the 21 weapons stolen from the army last year were arrested by the Rio de Janeiro Civil Police on Thursday night (11), in São Paulo.

Jesser Marques Fidelix, known as Jessé, and Márcio André Geber Boaventura Júnior were arrested in a high-end condominium in Santana de Parnaíba, in the metropolitan region of the capital of São Paulo.

According to investigations by the Narcotics Repression Police Station (DRE), the pair offered the weapons to Comando Vermelho (CV), the largest criminal drug trafficking faction in the state of Rio.

After recovering some of the weapons, in a previous action, the civil police reached the two negotiators after having access to videos circulating on social media and which would indicate that the two were negotiating weapons to supply the dispute between drug traffickers and militiamen in the west zone. of the capital of Rio de Janeiro.

This Friday (12), police officers carry out nine search and seizure warrants in Rio and São Paulo. The targets would be people linked to the two prisoners.

The 21 machine guns disappeared from the arsenal of a barracks, in September last year, in Barueri, Greater São Paulo. Nineteen machine guns had been recovered in Rio and São Paulo. Two are still wanted.

In February, the Army concluded its investigation into the theft. Military personnel and civilians accused of the disappearance of weapons were charged with theft, embezzlement, receiving and losing weapons. The case is still under judicial secrecy.
