Disque Denúncia published a poster, this Monday (14), asking for information on the whereabouts of a man, who attacked a cat protector in the south zone of Rio, using a baton.
Carlos Henrique Macário Morais, 50 years old, better known by his nickname “Chincha”, is considered a fugitive from justice, after the 2nd Criminal Court of the Capital issued a preventive arrest warrant for attempted qualified murder.
According to investigations by the 15th DP (Gávea), on October 3, “Chincha” attacked Carmo Souza Dias dos Santos, aged 64, after breaking into the cattery where the elderly man takes care of cats rescued from the streets. The space is in the condominium where the two live, in Gávea.
Images obtained by the police show the attacker leaving the scene with a baton in his hands. The fight would have been motivated by disagreements over the cattery managed by Carmo.
After the attacks, the elderly man was taken to the Miguel Couto Hospital, in Gávea, in serious condition, and was later transferred to a private unit. The victim suffered serious injuries, including the removal of his spleen and internal bleeding.
The 15th DP asks that any information about the location of the criminal be reported to Hotline, through the following service channels:
- Call Center/Call Center: (021) – 2253 1177 or 0300-253-1177
- Anonymized WhatsApp: (021) – 2253-1177 (data processing technique that removes or modifies information that could identify a person)
- Application: Hotline RJ
