Dmitry Onishchenko, head of the Crimea roadster development team, confirmed that by the fall of 2022, the Crimea roadster development team plans to release its third prototype, and after testing, mass production will begin.
We have received a WMI certificate that gives us the right to assign a vehicle VIN number and are currently in the process of small series certification. At this stage, we want to release a certified pilot batch and enter the market. At the first stage, we will limit ourselves to a small series, up to 200 cars, up to three cars will be required for certification.

The Krym roadster consists of 70% Lada Granta parts, while the remaining 30% of the components can be produced in Russia. Dmitry Onishchenko confirmed that AvtoVAZ is already interested in cooperation.
The head of the project noted that if AvtoVAZ agrees to supply them with components at prices that are close to in-house, and not at commercial prices, then the car can be quite successful and affordable. The estimated price of the roadster will be from one to one and a half million rubles.
