As it was already reported, as of today, the extra charge for incoming calls in roaming between Russia and Belarus has been cancelled. However, details have now become known about plans to cancel all roaming surcharges altogether – not only for incoming calls, but also for outgoing calls.

According to the Russian ambassador to Minsk Boris Gryzlov, roaming between the two countries is planned to be canceled by early summer. At the presentation of Vladimir Likhodedov’s book “The Unity of the Invincible People” Gryzlov said:
It will be completely canceled by June 1, in accordance with the decision of the Supreme State Council.
Earlier, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Telecommunications and Mass Media (Mintsifry of Russia) Dmitry Kim reported on such plans, but did not specify the timing. According to him, the cost of incoming and outgoing calls when moving between countries for citizens will be equal to the cost of communication within their country.
