Robbie Williams reveals diagnosis of scurry after battle with depression

The Briton shared the update about his health in an interview with the mirror published on Monday (7), saying that he discovered his diagnosis after facing difficulties with his mental health in recent months.

“The year started with some mental health problems, something I hadn’t had a long, long time ago,” he said, adding that he was feeling “sad, anxious, depressed.”

The “Take that” singer “told the publication that he was diagnosed with depression for the first time at the age of 20 and has been time since he had fought against it.

“I thought it was at the end of the bow,” he said. “So when it came back, it was just confused.”

Williams began to suspect that his diet could be a contributing factor in how he was feeling.

“I had stopped eating and was not getting nutrients,” he said, adding that he was later diagnosed with scurry, which he described as a “17th -century pirate disease.”

Scorbuto is a serious vitamin C deficiency and is caused by the lack of nutrient in the diet, according to Cleveland Clinic. The condition is rare in the US due to the rich nutrient diet in the country, and is usually seen in countries where people are malnourished.

After making changes in his diet, Williams said his health and depression became administrative.

Williams is about to start a tour in the UK, Ireland and Europe, starting in May and following during the summer. His recent biographical musical drama “A Better Man”, released last year, was nominated for the Oscar for better visual effects.
