Robbie Williams reveals which part of the biopic bothered him the most

British singer Robbie Williams 50, revealed that he was a boyfriend “really horrible ” for the singer Nicole Appleton with whom he had a relationship in the 1990s.
The life of the “Let Me Entertain You” performer is the focus of the biopic “Better Man – The Robbie Williams Story ”, by Michael Gracey. The artist confessed that the scenes between him and the singer from the group All Saints, who terminated a pregnancy while they were dating were particularly hard to watch .

In an interview with British magazine Hello!, Robbie revealed: “The part about Nicole and what we went through together is the hardest to watch, because she was told to get rid of our baby. With Nic, I did the wrong thing. It wasn’t that part, it wasn’t the abortion, I didn’t make her do it, but I was a terrible boyfriend, like, really horrible, and I was at the height of my addiction and alcoholism.”

“And it breaks my heart every time I watch it, because she is a complete angel, and I still feel ashamed for who I was back then.”

Nicole was consulted on the script and invited to an advance screening, and Williams, who has four children with wife Ayda Field, called her soon after. “As soon as she left the screening, I immediately picked up the phone and made a video call. We both cried, we couldn’t stop crying,” he said. “In between the tears, the only thing we could say to each other, which was funny, was ‘trigger.’ Then we would start crying again. I look forward to giving her a hug at the film premiere.”

Williams also sent a copy of the script to his former boy band Take That bandmate Gary Barlow, and admitted his friend wasn’t too happy at first.

“He called me,” he said. “We’re friends now, and I love him, and our relationship is 95% healed. There will always be a scar, but he loves me and I love him. But the first script was different, and he called me and said, ‘Rob, I don’t believe this script. I’m worse than Darth Vader in the first Star Wars’. I replied, ‘Try to see it from my point of view.’ So we adjusted some things.”

“Better Man – The Story of Robbie Williams” opens in Brazilian cinemas on February 6 .
