Robbie Williams paid tribute to Robyn Hall, a fan who died after falling during one of the ‘XXV Tour’ shows last week.
“I heard the news, the tragic news this week that a fan died in an accident after the Sydney show, and I feel, after all the years, that I am you and you are me and we are each other when we are together ”, began the singer, before performing his hit “Angels” in Melbourne, also in Australia, this Wednesday (22).
“So when something like this happens, my heart breaks. I’ve been reflecting on this a lot and thought about it throughout the show tonight. I just want to give a big hug and lots of love from me and my band to Robyn and Robyn’s family,” she added.
”Let’s all sing, she was someone like you who came to the show like you did tonight. And I think she deserves a great song and tonight this is for her,” said the artist.
On the 16th, a 70-year-old woman fell from the sixth row of seats at Allianz Stadium, in Sydney, Australia.
According to LBC, a spokesperson for the venue reported that “instead of using the stairs, the fan tried to climb over the rows of seats”, adding that she then “lost her balance and fell”. The news of her death was confirmed last Tuesday (21).
