Robert De Niro became a father for the seventh time at the age of 79. To give the surprising news, en passant during an interview with the TV program Entertainment TonightCanadait was the Oscar winner himself, class of ’43. Talking about his new film About My Father, a comedy soon to be released in American cinemas in which he plays a busybody father, De Niro has begun to explain what it means for him to be a father, the importance of being “affectionate but sometimes also severe with the children”. At that point the reporter told him: «I know you are the father of six children…». And here came the surprise: «Seven, actually. I just had a baby», corrected the actor. Without revealing other details, however. Nor when exactly was the birth, nor whether it is a boy or a girl. Nor who is the mother. On this last point, however, the American press is already making assumptions: baby number seven’s mom may be martial artist Tiffany Chenwith which the star was often photographed after the end of the long and troubled relationship with his ex-wife Grace Hightower. True or not, that the seventh child has arrived is a certainty: the news was also confirmed by the press officers of the Oscar winner.

De Niro had the other six children by three different women. From his first wife, Diahnne Abbotthas had drain, 51 years old, and raphael, 46 (the first, born from a previous relationship of Abbott, was adopted by the actor). Then in 1995, from the story with the model and actress Toukie Smith, the twins were born Julian And Aaron, 27 years old. Finally there are Elliott, 24 years old, and Helen Grace, 11, fruit of the marriage with Grace Hightower. De Niro doesn’t usually talk about his private life. But in 2020 he had made an exception, to say no to racism which worries him also for his children: «My six children are all half black», declared the star of Hollywood during a video hookup with «The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon»«so I could not take for granted certain things.
