Robert Kiyosaki criticized Trump’s memecoin

Robert Kiyosaki, author of the personal finance book Rich Dad Poor Dad, expressed skepticism about the TRUMP memecoin launched by US President-elect Donald Trump.

Kiyosaki wrote on the social network X that due to the emergence of such tokens created by politicians, the cryptocurrency market is deviating from its original idea as the future of finance. Tokens created by celebrities lack “underlying fundamentals,” the writer and investor said.

“What do I think about the TRUMP memecoin? Not very good. Unfortunately, the crypto world is becoming a transvestite, turning from the future of finance into a farce. I stick to my strategy by buying real assets: gold, silver and bitcoin,” Kiyosaki wrote.

He also again spoke out against cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs), saying he does not invest in “any ETFs” as he is “old and prefers real investments.”

Six months ago, he called traditional and cryptocurrency ETFs “fake investments” separated from real assets. Kiyosaki believes that it is better to buy assets directly rather than through funds.

At the end of December, Kiyosaki called traders panicking over the fall of Bitcoin “crying children.” He tried to calm them down by recommending that they use the market decline to buy more coins.
