The influencer Ana Paula Siebert Justus, 36, wife of Roberto Justus, 69 explained on his social media this Wednesday (11) the reason for having undergone a surgical procedure.
According to her, a Mirena IUD, a contraceptive method she has been using for years, perforated her uterus and moved to her abdomen. The problem was identified during a routine exam and the object was removed with a laparoscopy. The incident made her reflect on paying more attention to her body and its pains.
“My body tried to expel my IUD. I didn’t have much pain or anything, I’m a very pain-resistant person. I get into my work-life mode and when I have pain I don’t pay much attention to it, which is my mistake. I have to start paying more attention to my body,” she said on her Instagram stories.
Ana Paula said that the doctor who was performing her examination did not see the object inside her uterus, so she had to do an x-ray to find it.
“We discovered that the Mirena had perforated my uterus and ended up in my abdomen, which I never imagined could happen. It can be dangerous if you don’t identify it right away or if it enters your intestines, and mine was very close.”
Removing the IUD required laparoscopy, a procedure described by the Mayo Clinic as a minimally invasive surgery “performed through one or more small cuts, called incisions, using small tubes and tiny cameras and surgical instruments.”
She reminded her followers that this is a rare occurrence and that the doctor instructed her to put the contraceptive method back on, as the chances of the perforation happening are extremely low.
“I’m doing very well, I’m happy that nothing serious happened,” concluded the influencer.
Siebert’s last appearance was this Monday (9) at the 38th birthday party of influencer Fabiana Justus, 38, daughter of Roberto Justus from a previous marriage with Sacha Chryzman, 67. Ana Paula said she was hospitalized right after dinner and had to sleep two nights in the hospital, being released this Wednesday.
