In the beta version of the Robinhood trading application for iPhone, it became possible to test the functions long promised by the company – a cryptocurrency wallet and the transfer of cryptoassets.
Cryptocurrency wallet and cryptoasset transfers may soon be available to all users of the Robinhood trading app, according to Bloomberg. Evidence of the company’s work and testing of the new functionality appeared in the beta version of the Robinhood iPhone app.
The software includes a hidden image that displays a waiting list page for users who want to access cryptocurrency wallet functions. The app also has a code related to cryptocurrency transfers.
These features were revealed by software developer Steve Moser, who had previously discovered a bitcoin tip code in the beta version of Twitter.
Back in February, Robinhood announced that it would allow withdrawals and deposits of cryptocurrency through its app. In the summer ahead of the IPO, the company announced investments in cryptocurrency lending and staking services in addition to developing a cryptocurrency wallet.
Last month, Robinhood reported a 40-fold increase in profits from trading cryptocurrencies in a year, and in early September launched a service for regular investments in cryptocurrencies at an “average price”.
