Missing exact 100 days until the start of Rock in Rio 2024 which will have a 40th anniversary special edition in Rio de Janeiro. Scheduled for the 13th, 14th, 15th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd of September 2024, the festival already has a complete line-up and 4 of the 7 days are already sold out.
In total, more than 50 artists are confirmed, such as Mariah Carey, Shawn Mendes, Imagine Dragons, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Cyndi Lauper and much more. In November last year, the festival’s official page released images of the new Palco Mundo structure and prepared other tributes for the edition.

Are there still tickets available for Rock in Rio?
Yes! Although four days are already sold out, three days of presentations are still available for purchase. According to Ticketmaster, responsible for sales, the following days are still available for purchase:
- September 15th: Rock Day with Avenged Sevenfold as headliners
- September 19: with Ed Sheeran as headliner
- September 21st: Brazil Day
The consultation was held at 5pm this Wednesday (5) and both full tickets and half-price tickets were available for purchase.
What’s new for the 40th anniversary edition of the festival?
This year, the World Stage – which houses the main attractions of the event – will gain a new structure. With 830 square meters, the public will also have 6 LED screens to follow the shows during the 7 days of the event.
The one that will also come in a larger size will be the Sunset Stage. For the first time, the stage will have the same power as the main stage. However, the organization has not yet released more information or even the design.
In addition, Rock in Rio 2024 is also preparing an interactive and immersive exhibition telling about its history with the publication of a book and a new musical that will feature the event and the wonderful city as a narrative. According to the organization, the project will come to life inside and outside Cidade do Rock in the next edition of the festival.
It is also worth mentioning that the singer Alcione will be honored. Despite being scheduled in the line-up for September 21st, the tribute to the singer, in turn, takes place on the day 22 and will be marked by the presence of Mart’nália, Diogo Nogueira, Majur, Péricles It is Maria Rita with Brazilian Symphony Orchestra. Other details about the tribute have not yet been released.
