The singer Gloria Groove 29, closed the presentations at Palco Sunset on Thursday night (19), on the fourth day of Rock in Rio 2024 . This week, the artist also celebrated her nomination for the Latin Grammy, in the category of Best Urban Performance in Portuguese Language for the song Da Braba.
“[Foram] many emotions in the same week. Being the headliner of the Sunset Stage is a dream that I have been nurturing for a long time. The Grammy nomination came at a very grateful time, it came as a tie and a cherry on top of my story”, said the singer in an interview with CNN before the presentation.
With three acts, outfit changes and lots of choreography, Gloria Groove walked through her entire career while singing her greatest hits. Right off the bat, the artist started the show with the sound of “Auction”.
Next, she began the first act inspired by the album “The Procedure”, singing hits like “Brazilian Kid” , “Empire” and “Mistress” . In a performance that excited fans from start to finish, the artist also sang hits such as “Yoyo” and “Little doll”.
In the second act, Gloria Groove gave space to pagode, with her most recent album “GG Serenade” which will soon have its second volume. In this part of the show, the songs were presented “Our First Kiss” , “5 Minutes” and “Radar”.
To end the show, the third act featured a mix of the most danceable songs from the album. “Future Flow” and “Lady East”, as “Witchcraft 3000” , “Da Braba” — Grammy nominated —, “Red”, ending with “The Fall”.
Before Gloria Groove, the actor and singer Will Smith took to the Sunset Stage and surprised the audience with an energetic show, in which he made a point of speaking in Portuguese.
