Scheduled between the 13th and 22nd of September, Rock in Rio announced this Tuesday afternoon (23rd) that Imagine Dragons, Lulu Santos will perform on Palco Mundo on the 14th, while Ed Sheeran, Joss Stone and Jão will perform on the 19th. Gloria Groove will perform on the same date, but on the Sunset Stage.
For fans who purchased the Rock in Rio Card, it is now possible to select the date they wish to go to the festival. The choice of the day will be made exclusively online, on the TicketMaster website in the “My Orders” section, until April 3rd.
It is worth mentioning that during this period, the holder can choose any of the days of the festival. After the date, the right to choose is subject to the availability of tickets for each day defined by the festival. Once the Card date has been chosen, it cannot be changed.
Rock in Rio 2024
The festival is expected to bring together 700,000 people in the City of Rock, in celebration of 40 years of Rock in Rio – an event that put Brazil on the path of the world's music scene and which, in 2022, received the title of Intangible Cultural Heritage by City and State of Rio de Janeiro.
In total, 22 editions have already been held, with more than 3800 artists scheduled, more than 11.2 million audiences and more than 130 days of magic since 1985.
In 2024, the lineup features Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, NE-YO, Joss Stone, Angelique Kidjo, Ivete Sangalo, Ludmilla, Lulu Santos, Jão, Gloria Groove, Os Paralamas do Sucesso and Luísa Sonza. New artists will be announced soon.
Finally, those who have not purchased the Rock in Rio Card will be able to guarantee a place in this edition that will be historic in general ticket sales, which will take place on April 11th, at 7pm, exclusively on the Ticketmaster website.
