The return of one of the biggest music events in the world gains more definitions. The news was presented at a press conference that featured a pocket show with the presence of Dinho Ouro Preto, Rogério Flausino, among others.
For the 21st edition of Rock in Rio two successful spaces were revealed. Luís Justo, CEO of the festival, and Marisa Menezes, artistic director of Rock Street and the Rock District, presented some of the surprises. The festival that has been taking place since 1985, had the 2020 event postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The 2022 edition will be the year of the reunion.
In the Rock District line-up, Dinho Ouro Preto’s band “All Stars Rock Band” will be part of the presentations, which also includes Rogério Flausino, Di Ferreiro and Thiago Fragoso. Another novelty has to do with the scenography: the last edition of the festival was inspired by Asia and for this year the theme will be the Mediterranean.
Ticket sales start on April 5th.
Rock in Rio has already confirmed shows by Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa, Green Day, Iron Maiden, Cold Play, Fall Out Boy, Billy Idol, Capital Inicial, The Offspring, CPM 22, Migos between the 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 8th, September 9, 10 and 11 at Barra da Tijuca Olympic Park, in Rio de Janeiro.
