The countdown is finally over: it starts this Friday, September 2, the Rock in Rio 2022 .
The festival at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Center, west of the city, where the Rock City runs until the 11th of September and will take to the stage names such as Iron Maiden, Post Malone, Justin Bieber, Coldplay and Dua Lipa.
Other names of international music will also be present as Avril Lavigne, Camila Cabello, Måneskin, Demi Lovato, Megan Thee Stallion and Green Day.
Already representing Brazil are Luísa Sonza, Gilberto Gil and family, Gloria Groove, Iza, Duda Beat, Creole, between others.
An entire structure was created to receive an audience of 700 thousand people, number expected by the organizers during the seven days of the event.
To get to Rock in Rio, there are several options, such as the Rock Express, which will embark at the Jardim Oceânico and Alvorada terminals; O First class, which returns this year and will take the user inside the City of Rock, near the New Dance Order stage; or even the MetrôRio, which will have a special operating scheme.
Remembering that the Olympic Center BRT terminals have been closed since August 25th and will reopen on September 13th.
Tickets are sold out and this year it will be 100% digital. To enter, you must be presented at the entrance of the festival and only by cell phone. Please note that the gates open at 2pm and close at 1am.
Prices at Rock in Rio
Food and beverage prices were revealed at the Rock in Rio test event, on Tuesday (30th). Water can cost R$6. Soft drinks should cost R$9. Beer will be sold for R$15.
As for food, meat skewers will cost around R$17, sandwiches can reach R$33 and popcorn R$20.
Pizza, hot dogs, lasagna and Japanese food will also be sold.
Weather forecast for the 1st day of the festival
Friday should be hotter than Thursday (1), according to Climatempo. The sun appears all day in a cloudless sky. In the evening the weather gets clean. The maximum can reach 31ºC and the minimum should stay at 12ºC.
The weather should change from late afternoon on Saturday (3), with risk of heavy rain on Sunday (4). Those who don’t want to get wet should wear raincoats, as entry to the festival with an umbrella is prohibited.
