Rod Stewart celebrates 80th birthday: “I’m not done yet”

The singer Rod Stewart turns 80 this Friday (10) and used social media to thank him. After participating in some bands, he started his solo career and is known for songs like “Da Ya Think I Sexy?” , “Sailling” and “Have You Ever Seen The Rain” .

“I would like to take the opportunity on this 80th birthday of mine to personally express my gratitude and thanks to all my loyal and boisterous fans around the world for helping to give me such a wonderful life!” he mentioned in his post.

Afterwards, he added: “In return, I hope I gave you some memorable songs and lively shows and… I’m not done yet”, dispelling possible speculation about a possible retirement.

On social media, he also shared other posts congratulating his birthday. In the feed, he published several photos throughout his career and published another message.

“Thank you everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes – 80 years! What an incredible journey it has been – from unforgettable moments on and off stage to winning some truly special honors along the way. But above all, my greatest joy has always been performing for you. Here’s to the memories we’ve created and those yet to come!”, he wrote.

This year, the voice of “I Don’t Wanna Talk About It” has already been confirmed for the Glastonbury 2025 festival, to perform in prime time.

Rod Stewart will perform in the Legend Slot, usually reserved for music legends, with shows that always take place at “teatime”, the name given to the time when the British drink their traditional tea.
