Rohani: Europeans’ concerns about uranium enrichment from Tehran “unfounded”

The Iranian president described as unfounded Hassan Rohani The “concerns” expressed yesterday by Germany, Britain and France over Tehran’s intention to enrich uranium to 60%.

“Concerns have been raised in Europe and the United States about the fact that we in Iran “We are starting to enrich uranium to 60%, which means we can reach 90% (the limit for building nuclear weapons) quickly,” Rohani said.

But this is wrong, the Iranian president assured in his speech that was broadcast on state television, as broadcast by AMPE. “Even today we can enrich uranium to 90%, if we want. But we had stated it from the first day and we keep our word: “Our nuclear activities are peaceful, we do not want to have an atomic bomb.” underlined.

European powers that have signed an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program said in Tehran yesterday that its decision to enrich 60% uranium and install another 1,000 centrifuges at its Natanz plant runs counter to efforts to revive the 2015 deal.

Is there a way to stop “60% uranium enrichment as well as 20%,” the Iranian president told the Americans and Europeans: “Return to all your commitments and you will see that in a short time (…) Iran will respect all his own.
