Great fire broke out in her suburb Rome with smoke covering it Italian capital causing concern to residents, according to local media.
THE fire broke out just before 18:00 on Wednesday afternoon (15/6) at factory which manages and processes about 25% of the waste of the inhabitants of the “Eternal City” and is located in the area of Malagrota.
Authorities responded immediately with firefighters and police rushing to the factory to manage the crisis and reduce the damage. According to firefighters, who work in eight teams, the flames started from two places where paper and plastic are stored and a composting unit.
No injuries have been reported so far, but according to La Repubblica, a local committee is sounding the alarm about dangerous dioxins in the atmosphere and worsening of the waste problem in the capital.
