Transak partner manager Etienne Gandon said that through this collaboration, gamers will have access to the Ronin ecosystem using their usual payment methods: credit cards and Apple Pay. Gamers will be able to buy NFTs with regular money through the Transak NFT Checkout service. Ronin users will also be able to purchase RON tokens, USDC stablecoins, wrapped Ether (wETH) and Smooth Love Potion (SLP) tokens using credit and debit cards.
To achieve this, Mavis Market, an NFT marketplace from Ronin, will integrate the NFT Checkout service from Transak. This service will allow users to purchase digital assets with fiat currency, eliminating the need to purchase them in advance to manage transactions on the network. Players will be able to buy multiple NFTs in a single transaction, with minimum purchase limits of just $0.01, Gandon added.
“Gamers using Ronin need access to in-game and collectible tokens so they can fully immerse themselves in the gameplay experience. NFTs are highly undervalued because most people have not yet fully realized their potential. Collectible tokens prove digital ownership of items and increase community engagement in games,” said a Transak executive.
In October 2024, Transak suffered a data breach affecting approximately 92,000 users. The company said the attacker gained access to an employee’s laptop through a phishing attack and logged into the system of a third-party service provider responsible for Know Your Customer (KYC) verification.
