The Spanish singer Rosalía announced that she will make a world tour throughout this year, passing through Brazil only once, performing in São Paulo. So far, 46 shows are scheduled in 15 countries.
She arrives in São Paulo on August 22 to play at Tokio Marine Hall, formerly Tom Brasil, and then goes to Buenos Aires, without going through other Brazilian cities. The venue has a capacity for up to 4,000 people on the track and tickets go on sale this Friday (22), at 10 am, through the Eventim website and at the official box office.
The decision goes against some artists, who announced several dates in Brazil. Veterans of Guns n’ Roses and Iron Maiden pass through eight and four Brazilian cities, respectively, and more recent attractions also spend more time in the country: Harry Styles performs in three cities, Coldplay and Justin Bieber in two.
Most of the MOTOMAMI world tour dates are in Spain, the singer’s homeland, from which she says she draws a lot of inspiration for her songs: there are 12 shows that include places like Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Granada and Valencia.
In Latin America, it passes through Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and the Dominican Republic.
Rosalía Vila Tobella, who introduces herself only by her first name, is a singer born in Sant Cugat del Vallès, in the region of Barcelona, Spain. Graduated in music with a specialization in flamenco, since her first album “El Mal Querer”, in 2018, she mixes pop with traditional Spanish rhythms. In her latest work, “MOTOMAMI”, released this year, she mixes influences from hyperpop, reggaeton and flamenco to create a unique sound, which she will take to the world during the new tour.
