Roscosmos warns of any cyber attack on Russian satellites

At a time when war is raging in Ukraine, the head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos warned today that Russia will deal with any cyber attack against its satellites as a cause of war.

Dmitry Rogozin, head of Roscosmos, has denied reports that Russian satellite control centers have been targeted by cyber-attacks. of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and warned against any attempt in this direction, Interfax news agency reported.

“Putting the satellites of any country off the internet is in fact a casus belli, a cause of war”Rogozin underlined.

At the same time, he asked the British-based technology company OneWeb to give guarantees to Moscow that its satellites will not be used against Russia, as broadcast by Reuters and relayed by the Athens News Agency.

If that does not happen, the head of Roscosmos has indicated that the launch of 36 OneWeb satellites scheduled for March 4 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, which Moscow rents from Kazakhstan, will be canceled, and Russia will not compensate the company.
