Today, January 12, the CNEWS news outlet, citing its sources, reported that the Russian holding Ruselectronics, which is part of the state corporation Rostec, officially presented new satellite communication antenna systems that were developed specifically for various vehicles. In total, two modifications of the new equipment were presented – the first model is designed for small river and sea vessels, and the second, more compact version, is designed for road and rail transport. Now specialists are working to prepare the necessary equipment for launching mass production of new antennas – according to plans, this will happen in 2023.
The representatives of the holding said that the new antenna systems will enable passengers of various vehicles to access high-speed Internet, which, more importantly, can also boast of high connection stability. The system will work through communication with Russian satellites located in Earth’s orbit. As a result, users can use all kinds of multimedia services, video conferencing, IP-telephony and other resources with complete comfort, even while on the move.
