Roskomnadzor issued a statement accusing the social network Twitter of gross violation of Russian law.

According to the agency, since 2017, the Twitter team has not removed 2,862 materials with information prohibited in Russia. We are talking about such content:
- 2336 materials about methods of committing suicide, as well as calls for committing suicide
- 352 materials with pornographic images of minors
- 174 materials about methods, methods of development, manufacture and use of narcotic drugs
All in all, Roskomnadzor for all this time sent to Twitter more than 28 thousand requests to remove content.
According to the department, according to Russian law, failure to delete the prohibited information by the owner of the Internet resource threatens with an administrative fine for legal entities in the amount of 800 thousand to 8 million rubles. In the event of a second offense, the fine is increased to one-fifth of the company’s annual revenue.
