Rosselkhozbank, together with the Central Bank of Russia, is studying the possibility of using digital assets to conduct calculations in grain trade, said Irina Zhachkin, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Rosselkhozbank.

During a business breakfast, within the framework of the All -Russian Grain Forum, representatives of the Rosselkhozbank, Central Bank and agricultural companies discussed various financial mechanisms for exporting agricultural products. According to Zhachkina, the issue of using cryptocurrency is also worked out with other market representatives.

The meeting participants pointed out the importance of reducing logistics costs and discussed the possibilities that can provide digital assets. In addition, the idea of ​​creating a BRICS grain exchange was discussed as an alternative platform for Western platforms.

It should be noted that on May 28, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation allowed to offer qualified investors tools, the profitability of which is tied to cryptocurrencies. After that, the Moscow and St. Petersburg exchanges announced the launch of cryptocurrency futures, and Sberbank said that he was preparing structural bonds.

Earlier, Alexander Zozul, the head of the Sberbank Global Markets Department, said that the bank plans to act as a liquidity supplier and a marketmaker for official Russian crypto scribes.
