Rostec has developed a thin motherboard based on the Baikal-M processor. It is produced in Russia

Progress, a subsidiary of the Avtomatika concern of Rostec Corporation, has developed a Thin Mini-ITX motherboard based on the Russian Baikal-M processor. Such a board is not only able to reduce the thickness of a standard system unit by 3 or 4 centimeters, but is also suitable for use in gadgets of a compact form factor, that is, in nettops, monoblocs, mini-servarchs and computing panels. The novelty has become one of the thinnest motherboards based on “Baikal-M”. This was reported by CNews.

The motherboard from Progress is 2 times smaller than the analogs of the standard form factor, but despite this it is equipped with two USB-C ports, two LAN connectors, two SATA 6 Gb / s and two DDR4 memory slots. The manufacturer claims that it has low consumption, and its production is located in Russia.

The head of Avtomatika, Andrei Motorko, said that in connection with the import substitution program, state organizations must purchase at least half of the computers of domestic production – due to this, there is a great demand for Russian developments.
