Rostec has released the AYYA T1 smartphone with protection against identity theft. Can buy

The M.Video-Eldorado chain of stores now has a domestic smartphone AYYA T1 at a price of 19 thousand rubles. It was developed by the company “Smartecosystem”, a subsidiary of the Scientific Research Institute “Masshtab”, which in turn is part of the structure of the state corporation “Rostec”. A key feature of the mobile device is the presence of a separate physical button to mute the camera and microphone. Thus, it is positioned as a secure means of communication and access to information.

AYYA T1 was originally developed for the Russian processor and operating system, but the version in which it is available now uses the MediaTek Helio P70 chipset and the Android 11 operating system. The configuration also includes 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory.

The smartphone is equipped with a dual main camera with sensors of 12 and 5 megapixels, as well as a front camera with a resolution of 13 megapixels. As for the display, it has a diagonal of 6.53 inches, a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The device is powered by a 4000 mAh battery with USB-C charging. The smartphone has two slots for SIM cards, a slot for microSD memory cards, a 3.5 headphone jack and NFC for contactless payment.

In the future, the developers still plan to equip the smartphone with domestic components and transfer it to the Russian operating system (the most likely are called “Aurora” and KasperskyOS). In this form, the gadget can be offered to corporate clients, government agencies, and even delivered to the Ministry of Defense. It was assumed that AYYA T1 will be equipped with the Russian ARM-processor “Skif”, developed by the Elvis Scientific and Production Center. But it seems that the task of transferring a device with a foreign processor to a domestic one turned out to be difficult. This takes more than one year, experts say.
