Rota announces arrest of PCC leader who planned Marcola’s escape

The Military Police and the Public Ministry of São Paulo announced this Wednesday (11) the arrest of a man identified as one of the leaders of the First Capital Command (PCC) and responsible for “Restricted Tactics”, a sector of the faction that plans rescues of members who are imprisoned.

Operation Degola was launched by the 1st Riot Police Battalion of Rota, in a joint action with the Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime (Gaeco), which claimed to have dismantled a rescue plan for Marcos Willians Herbas Camacho, known as Marcola, considered one of the main leaders of the faction and currently detained in a federal prison in Brasília.

The target of the operation, whose identity has not been revealed, was allegedly involved in criminal activities such as drug trafficking, criminal organization and illegal possession of restricted weapons, according to the announcement of the arrest on the social media of the Shock Police Command.

Investigations also point to suspected attacks against facilities and equipment of the security forces of the state of São Paulo.

The group’s action would be linked to the PCC’s recent reorganization movements after power struggles at the top of the faction, which intensified in 2024.

Eight search and seizure warrants, issued by the Criminal Court of Sorocaba, are being carried out by Rota agents in the region.
