The second season of the hit series “Round 6” got its first trailer this Thursday (31). The production premieres in December 26th in the Netflix streaming platform catalog.
The protagonist Seong Gi-hun (played by Emmy winner Lee Jung-jae ), who promised revenge at the end of the first season, is back in the game. In the trailer, the character tries to convince the other participants to give up the competition (see below).
The actors Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun and Gong Yoo also return to the series. Already Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yu -ri and Won Ji-an debut in the cast.
“Round 6” will end in the third season which has release forecast for 2025 .
Released in 2021, the first season of “Round 6” conquered the world by following a group of people in desperate search of money who enters into a series of children’s games with deadly results. The series also made history in Emmy Awards becoming the first non-English-language production to be nominated for a Best Drama, in 2022.
The success of the series led to the creation of a spin-off reality show, “Round 6: The Challenge “, which had the participation of the Brazilian Phill Cain finalist of the competition.
