THE Netflix released this Thursday (19) the first preview of second season of “Round 6” . South Korean production broke records such as one of the most watched original productions in the platform’s history .
In a statement about the new season, Hwang Dong-hyuk director, screenwriter and executive producer of “Sound of Six”, previewed some news. According to him, Seong Gi-hun (played by Emmy winner Lee Jung Jae seen in “The Acolyte“), who promised revenge at the end of the first season, is back in the games. “But will he be able to get his revenge? Once again, the leader seems to be a formidable opponent,” he declared.
As previously announced by Netflix, the series will end in its third part which has also already won a release date forecast for 2025 .
Released in 2021, the first season of “Round 6” conquered the world by following a group of people in desperate search of money who enters into a series of children’s games with deadly results. The series also made history at the Emmy Awards, becoming the first non-English-language production to be nominated for the award for Best Drama, in 2022.
The success of the series led to the creation of a spin-off reality show, “Round 6: The Challenge “, which had the participation of the Brazilian Phil Cain finalist of the competition.
