Who is the protagonist of Round 6?
The story of Round 6 mainly revolves around Seong Gi-hun, also known as Player 456 . In the first season, Gi-hun is introduced as a kind but neglectful father who is forced to borrow money from his elderly mother to celebrate his daughter’s birthday.

Gi-hun, despite his gambling addiction and debts, tries to take care of his mother, daughter and friends, but often fails. But when the Recruiter invites him to a game with a billion won prize, He sees this as an opportunity to start his life over .
Who runs the Round 6 games?
The “reality show” was created by a group of extremely powerful and bored friends, including Oh Il-nam (played by Oh Yeong-su), the participant 001 an elderly man who poses as one of the contestants alongside Gi-hun and the others in the first season.

How does the first season of Round 6 end?

Motivated by the experience, Gi-hun fulfills the promises he made to two of his game companions: he takes Sae-byeok’s brother (Jung Ho-yeon ) to Sang-woo’s mother’s house (Park Hae-soo ) and leaves half of his prize to both of them. He then plans to visit his daughter in Los Angeles, but upon seeing the Recruiter at a subway station manages to get his recruitment card.
At the airport, Gi-hun changes his mind, returns to Seoul and makes a call to the number on the card, defying those responsible for the game. This moment ends the episode of the series, leaving a cliffhanger for the new season.
