Yandex.Maps now has a route optimization button that becomes available when you add several destinations at once (from four to ten). This can be done by editing the originally built route between two points. After pressing the “Optimization” button, the navigator will build the optimal travel options so that the user can visit them all in sequence.
The optimization function is available for pedestrians, drivers and public transport users. When building a route for a car, Yandex.Maps also takes into account traffic jams.
It is worth noting that this option appeared in the Yandex mapping service obviously not yesterday – at least there are a lot of relevant comments on the Internet from people who have been using this feature for a long time. But many reputable media wrote the news only today, August 17th. Perhaps there used to be a beta test on random users, and now the option has become available to everyone (but this is just guesswork).
