Royal Easter, the Queen of Denmark paints eggs in the family

Easter is celebrated as a family for the royal family of Denmark. Queen Margrethe he spent a day with his son’s family Prince Frederik and Princess Mary. With them, the couple’s four children: 15-year-old Prince Christian, 13-year-old Princess Isabella, and 10-year-old twins Vincent and Josephine.

On the official account of the Danish royal family there are images of the royals who all together paint Easter eggs at the Marselisborg Palace in Aarhus, as per tradition, a tradition established by the queen and her husband Henrik with their children in the seventies.

Margrethe II, 80, was the first European sovereign to be vaccinated the first day of the year and has already received the second dose as well. Precisely because of the pandemic last year, the family was unable to celebrate Easter in Aarhus as they usually did, but this year they did. The country still has limitations and closures, some should fall after 6 April as cases are decreasing thanks to vaccinations.

In recent months, all the last celebrations of the royal family have been in the name of sobriety: both the 49 years of Princess Mary in February and the 10 years of the twins, also because the eldest son, Prince Christian, tested positive for Covid in recent months.
