Members of the British royal family watched the Victory Day parade in Europe on Monday (5).
King Charles of the United Kingdom and other royal members joined veterans and crowds to watch the military parade and fly over the place at the beginning of four days of celebrations that mark the 80th anniversary of Victory Day.
The government planned a series of events in preparation for the anniversary of Nazi Germany’s unconditional surrender, which came into force on May 8, 1945.
The date is celebrated in many countries, including France, the United States and Russia.
More than 1,300 members of the British Armed Forces marched through the center of London outside the Parliament to Buckingham Palace.
They were observed by the king, who greeted them as he passed, alongside Queen Camilla, Prince William and his wife Kate of Prime Minister Keir Stmerer and veterans of the conflict.
This Monday’s parade (5) was completed with a flyfish of historic military aircraft and the Red Arrows Air Force Red Arrows team, assisted by the royalty of the Backingham Palace balcony.
Crowds, many of them swinging the UK flags, clustered below to watch the show.
