Royal Mail PLC announced that pre-tax profits fell in 2022 due to unfavorable comparisons with last year, although revenues increased slightly.
The British company of letters and parcels showed pre-tax profits for the year ended March 27, amounting to 662 million pounds ($ 817.2 million), compared to 726 million pounds a year ago.
Adjusted operating profit rose 8% to 75 758 million.
Revenue for the year stood at ,7 12.71 billion, slightly higher than 12 12.64 billion a year ago.
Royal Mail’s domestic parcel volumes decreased by 7% year-on-year due to the post-lockdown smoothing trend, but remained 31% higher than in 2020.
The BoD announced a final dividend of 13.3 pence per share, with the final dividend standing at 20 pence from 10 pence per share a year ago.
