Rio Grande do Sul recorded two more deaths caused by floods, according to the latest report released by the state’s Civil Defense on Monday afternoon (10), bringing the total number to 175 .
Two bodies were found in Teutônia and Agudo, still unidentified, according to Civil Defense.
These are the first deaths recorded as a result of floods in both cities .
The number of missing remained at 38. The previous bulletin was released on Sunday (9).
The city with the most recorded deaths is Canoas, with 31, followed by Roca Sales, with 13 deaths, and Cruzeiro do Sul, with 12.
In the capital, Porto Alegre, five deaths have been recorded so far.
The numbers of people in shelters and homeless were not released in the last two updates.
According to last week’s bulletin, around 30,400 people were still outside their homes, and another 572,700 were homeless.
