The new franchise movie “Rua do Fear”, “Queen of Baile” debut at the Netflix streaming service this Friday (23).
The films of the trilogy, “Rua do Fear: 1994 – Part 1”, “Rua do Fear: 1978 – Part 2” and “Rua do Fear: 1666 – Part 3” they have a group of teenagers who faces an evil force that terrorizes a city for centuries after brutal murders occur in the present.
“Rua do Fear: Queen of the Ball” is a sequel to the franchise?
As in the original trilogy, the new film will take place in Shadyside fictional city. However, it brings an independent plot with characters other than the initial trilogy.
All films in the series are based on the popular series of RL Stine but this specific is the first feature film to be inspired by a specific book, “The Prom Queen”, 1992.

“In this edition, we deepen much more in high school and family life and find that, once again, many of the challenges that children from the 1980s faced still seem to be totally resonated today,” added the filmmaker.
The cast consists of India Fowler, Ariana Greenblatt, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, David Iacono, Ella Rubin, Chris Klein, Lili Taylor and Katherine Waterston.
