Now a decisive step has been taken in this direction – Microsoft has released a test build for members of the Windows 10 Insider program, in which Internet Explorer is no longer available. Build 21387 is available in the Dev channel.

In addition, Eco Mode is disabled in Task Manager for this test build. Although this feature seems to be coming back in the future. In the release notes for Build 21387, Microsoft explains that this feature has been disabled to improve performance. And these are far from the only, albeit the most noticeable, innovations.

Until now, Microsoft has continued to ship Windows 10 along with Internet Explorer 11. And although instead of the morally outdated Internet Explorer 11, users who need this particular browser for any task are encouraged to use IE mode in the more modern Edge browser, this mode requires installed Internet Explorer to work.
